Twelve Ways of Looking at Gardening
1. Start with a cup of coffee because I need courage to tackle the weeds
2. First start with the prettiest area of the garden because that's the encouragement to continue the work; because it won't be there long once I enter its area.
3. Pick up the hoe and see if it fits your hand; if your hand has slivers from the last time, it should fit.
4. Find the weedest spot because that;s the most desperate; or because that's where you can best hide
5. Chop energetically, avoiding the good stuff; Chop Chop Chop and hope you don't hit the good stuff
6. Avoid looking at the bugs because that means you need to drag out the sprayer; however, by looking at the bugs you find this project more interesting than pulling the weeds.
7. Bend over to pull out the weeds make sure your derriere is pointing away from people walking by; By the way, your derriere will get smaller if you work in the garden for the rest of your life.
8. At this point, drink more coffee; must stay hydrated
9. Chop energetically again, and when you hit your toe, avoid cursing fluently.
10. Now its time to appreciate your endeavours; and determine never to do wander into this area at any time.
11. Go sniff the roses your've earned it; watch for the bees because you don't want to get stung with this job again!
12. Head for the house and go read a book!
